LPN Nurse/Medical Assistant

Job Overview

Join Compass Health Network as a Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN and play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care within our integrated care team. We are committed to addressing the critical healthcare needs of our communities and are excited to offer a \(1500 sign-on bonus for Medical Assistants and an additional \)2500 for Nurses.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking patient histories and vital signs, and documenting findings in patient charts.
• Set up examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Perform venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other procedures as directed.
• Administer immunizations and various injections.
• Facilitate prescription requests and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide education and instructions to patients.
• Maintain and sterilize supplies and equipment.
• Assist healthcare professionals with minor surgeries and physical examinations.
• Coordinate the scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Screen calls and relay messages appropriately.
• Maintain up-to-date patient files and records.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper waste disposal and hand hygiene.
• Follow CLIA and OSHA regulations.
• Support the upkeep of cleanliness in unit facilities.
• Monitor and manage medical stock supplies.
• Attend mandatory training sessions.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as necessary to meet clinic needs.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Practical Nursing certificate is mandatory for Nurse LPN applicants.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience is essential if medical assistant certification is not obtained.
• Preferred experience of at least two (2) years in a medical office setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification or LPN/GPN with the requirement to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
