We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant or Nurse LPN to join our integrated care team at Compass Health Network. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the communities we serve. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, documenting histories and vital signs in their charts.
- Arrange exam and treatment rooms with the required instruments and supplies.
- Execute venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
- Administer immunizations and other injections, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Phone in patient prescriptions and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide comprehensive patient education and instructions regarding their care.
- Maintain the organization of patient files and records, adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Follow standard precautions and comply with CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- Assist in preparing for minor surgeries and physical examinations, as well as scheduling tests and treatments.
- Monitor medical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of unit facilities and equipment.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and uphold professional ethical standards.
- Perform additional duties as required to support clinic operations.
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Experience in patient education and instruction.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Practical Nursing certificate is mandatory for Nurse LPN applicants.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience is preferred if a medical assistant certification is not obtained.
