Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the Medication Clinic’s operations
- Prepare for frequent schedule adjustments and travel to neighboring clinics for nursing coverage and training
- Review medication education materials with clients
- Serve as a Case Manager for consumers requiring medication refills
- Ensure completion of all necessary documentation related to the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations
- Administer intramuscular medications, dispense sample medications, and maintain accurate logs of all medications received and dispensed
- Assist in completing prior authorization requests for medications
- Maintain a list of injections, coordinate orders and delivery, and verify current medication orders while discussing potential side effects
- Take vital signs and coordinate the prediabetes screening process
- Demonstrate broad knowledge and experience with computer systems
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in medication administration and patient education
- Adaptability in coordinating schedules and managing changes
- Ability to comply with documentation and regulatory standards
- Competence in taking vital signs and conducting health screenings
- Familiarity with technology and computer applications
- Valid GPN, LPN, GN, or RN license required in Missouri
- Must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation
- A High School diploma or GED is required
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred
