We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll and IT Support Specialist to join our team. This unique role combines responsibilities related to both payroll processing and IT support, ensuring smooth business operations in both areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, combined with the technical expertise to troubleshoot and support IT-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure all employee pay is accurate, including hours worked, deductions, overtime, and bonuses.
- Manage employee benefits enrollment, deductions, and leave records.
- Maintain up-to-date records of payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll-related tax forms (W-2, W-3, 941, etc.).
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies from employees.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure proper documentation for new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
IT Support Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level IT support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of company devices, such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Assist in the setup, installation, and troubleshooting of operating systems, network configurations, and software applications.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.
- Provide training and assistance to employees on IT-related tools, applications, and systems.
- Work with external vendors to manage system updates and ensure proper functioning of software and hardware.
- Ensure data security by performing regular backups and assisting with security measures (firewalls, encryption, etc.).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing and/or IT support.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Solid understanding of IT troubleshooting, networking, and support.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based payroll systems or HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional).
- Familiarity with database management and basic SQL.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
