POSITION OVERVIEW : Under the Nursing Director, the Nursing Manager is responsible for managing nursing resources of a specific CCH location to ensure a high level of patient care that supports CCH mission and goals. Nursing Manager will have direct supervision of RN's, LPN's, CMA's, and related personnel as well as indirect supervision of support staff. The Nursing Manager may precept students or new employees as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED : (These are needed to perform the work assigned.)
Knowledge of : Professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care; information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities; emergency medical procedures; common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment; computers, as well as their applications.
Skills in : Applying and modifying nursing principles, methods and techniques to provide on-going patient care; administering patient care; identifying problems and recommending solutions; oral and written communication; active listening; monitoring and assessing the performance of yourself and others; problem solving; motivate, direct, and develop members of staff.
Ability to : Work effectively with all levels of personnel including physicians, Nursing Director, team leaders and staff; be highly efficient, organized, and accurate in work; interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures; exercise considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving nursing problems; properly use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, staff, and the public; react calmly and effectively in emergency situations; balance multiple tasks at once; work in an environment with potential exposure to blood borne pathogens; maintain patient confidentiality; abide by HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
Valid Nebraska RN license is required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing is preferred. CPR certification required. At least two years of outpatient experience is preferred. Leadership experience is preferred.
