About the Role:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent patient service in all patient interaction. The front desk team members responsibilities include check-in, check out patients, faxing documents, verifying patient medical insurance and identification, answering calls and direct callers to the appropriate personnel. Additional duties include answering inquiries, providing information to the public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties, and offering details about the establishment's activities, departments, offices, and employees.
Essential Job Functions:
- Check patients in and out.
- Input insurance and accurate patient information into the computer for billing purposes.
- Collect daily payments (e.g., copay, balance, deductible) and batch for the billing department.
- Assist medical assistants in maintaining patient flow.
- Answer questions about the organization and provide callers with addresses, directions, and other information.
- Welcome on-site visitors, determine the nature of their business, and announce them to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor visitor access and issue passes when required.
- Update appointment calendars.
- Receive, sort, and route mail and publications.
- Maintain fax machines, assist users, send faxes, and route incoming faxes.
- Order, receive, and maintain office supplies.
- Verify patients' insurance eligibility for the date of service.
Communication Skills:
- Must be Russian speaking.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Sit, use hands, reach with arms, and talk or hear regularly.
- Occasionally stand and walk.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Education/Experience (Minimum Requirements):
- Two years of experience as a front desk in a medical office.
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Medical Clearance:
You must complete Comprehensive Primary Cares medical clearance requirements, including evidence of Hepatitis B, Pneumococcal screen, and a Tuberculosis screen, or have an approved medical or religious accommodation precluding vaccination against these diseases.
