What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist position at CompuLink?
Job Duties:
- Crafting and sending emails with information about the company and position, including work schedules, dress code and parking options.
- Welcoming new team members upon their arrival and facilitate new hire orientation.
- Gathering and processing paperwork, like documents for I-9s and photo badges
- Improving onboarding portal in HRIS system
- Refreshing new hire orientation content with information our new team members need
- Processing new hire and annual background checks
- Supporting talent acquisition efforts through attending job/career fairs, phone screening, scheduling, or interviewing candidates
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- 6 months minimum of experience working in Human Resources or in similar role.
- Strong problem solving & critical thinking ability.
- Exceptional written and oral communication.
- Competent in organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization
- Ability to work well as an individual contributor as well as be part of a team.
- Detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
- Highly dependable (attendance, daily responsibilities/tasks, and project deadlines)
- Proven Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience
- Positive attitude and professional image at all times
