Job Overview

The Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician plays a critical role in our Production Team, responsible for calibrating, testing, and preparing Beckman Echo systems for shipping. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Meticulously follow established procedures for calibrating, testing, and preparing instruments for shipping
• Serve as the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing technical issues
• Actively participate in group problem-solving initiatives
• Contribute to continuous process improvement activities
• Ensure all testing and calibration meets rigorous quality standards

Essential Requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing position
• Associate's degree in a technical field OR comparable long-standing work experience
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in technical diagnostics and calibration procedures
• Ability to interpret and apply complex technical instructions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering Technology
• Previous experience with:
• Calibration techniques
• Automation equipment
• Centrifuges
• Plate readers
• Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)
