Job Summary :
The Delivery Ops - Mail / Finishing Level 2 role involves operating high-level mail equipment, including mail inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment in an automated high-speed, high-volume environment. The individual will coordinate both automated and manual processes for finishing and mailing client materials, ensuring accurate tracking and distribution. The role also includes maintaining mailroom operations, processing accountable mail, and performing quality checks on outbound mail.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate high-level mail equipment, including inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment.
- Coordinate automated and manual processes for finishing and mailing client materials.
- Maintain distribution and tracking systems for client mail.
- Use customized software to update and maintain mailing addresses.
- Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies.
- Notify recipients and handle deliveries and pick-ups for scheduled mail runs.
- Record and process accountable mail information, maintaining logs.
- Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express, and local delivery services.
- Prepare mail and packages for external shipment, coordinating deliveries and pick-ups (may include USPS pickup / delivery).
- Perform quality checks on outbound mail and validate internal mail addresses.
- Perform fulfillment functions, such as assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of kitted materials.
- Follow mailroom security procedures and monitor mail supplies inventory.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all shipping and mail equipment, contacting service for repairs as needed.
- Perform light maintenance on client equipment and deliver paper to select areas weekly.
- Cross-train within the mailroom as required.
