Job Summary:
The PLC Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of various machinery and systems within the facility. This includes programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, providing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring the proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. The technician will also support the repair of older equipment, such as testing machines and molds, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and supporting IT systems when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC systems to ensure optimal performance and equipment efficiency.
- Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on various equipment, including CNC operations and dye-cutting machines.
- Provide maintenance support for HVAC systems (preferred but not required).
- Repair and maintain older equipment, including testing machines and molds used for pressing doors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any potential safety concerns within the facility.
- Provide IT support as needed, ensuring smooth integration between maintenance operations and technology.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure facility systems are running at peak efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong background in manufacturing with experience repairing and testing machines.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Experience with facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
- Ability to repair and maintain a variety of equipment, including older machines and molds.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to address maintenance needs.
Preferred Qualifications (if any):
- Experience with HVAC maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of IT systems and ability to provide basic IT support is a plus.
Certifications (if any):
- Relevant certifications in PLC programming and maintenance are a plus.
- OSHA or safety-related certifications are desirable.
