Job Summary
The Print Technician will work in a large production center focused on printing Stanley Black and Decker marketing materials for Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, trade shows, and more. This position involves printing various materials such as banners, window clings, highway signs, truck decals, and other promotional materials. The role requires operating wide-format printers, using Onyx software, working with flat-bed and roll-feed printing, and knowledge of CNC cutting machines. The candidate will be trained to follow strict OSHA guidelines when using the Colex cutting machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate digital wide-format printers for printing marketing materials
- Use Onyx software to manage print jobs
- Work with flat-bed and roll-feed printers
- Operate CNC cutting machines after training on strict OSHA guidelines
- Collaborate with the customer and design teams to meet specifications
- Perform print layout tasks with attention to detail
- Load 60-inch rolls of material into the printing machines
- Ensure all printing projects meet color accuracy standards using Pantone colors
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of color management and branding
- Experience operating wide-format printers
- Ability to use Onyx software
- Understanding of flat-bed and roll-feed printing
- Strong vision for accurate color matching and quality control
- Strong math skills for print layouts and design collaboration
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (loading printing materials)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC cutting machines
- Previous experience in a print shop environment
- Customer service and communication skills
Certifications
- OSHA certification will be provided for Colex cutting machine operation
