Job Title: Linux Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX or Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract (Potential for Contract-to-Hire)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our security-focused team, helping to manage risk and maintain the health of a Linux-based security system. This role will serve as the lead infrastructure specialist, ensuring optimal performance and security of critical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the health and performance of a Linux-based security system.

• Lead infrastructure support, ensuring servers and networks are functioning optimally.

• Monitor and mitigate security risks within the infrastructure.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth user interaction with systems.

• Utilize security tools to enhance the protection and integrity of systems.

• Troubleshoot server and networking issues and ensure high system availability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering.

• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix administration.

• Knowledge of server and networking fundamentals.

• Experience in managing and supporting security-focused IT environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with tokenization technologies, especially Protegrity.

• Exposure to Big Data systems such as Hadoop, Cloudera, or Teradata.

• Background in the banking industry (preferred but not required).

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred but not mandatory).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset to mitigate risks effectively.

• Ability to communicate between different systems and teams.
