What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Improvement Manager Lead position at Conagra?
As a Plant Improvement Manager Lead at Conagra Brands, you will be responsible for driving a zero-loss manufacturing culture within our St. Elmo, Illinois facility.
Main Responsibilities:
- Partner with the plant's team to ensure the use of performance tools
- Lead the cultural shift to managing through pillars
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in ConAgra Performance System (CPS) best practices
- Coordinate and support plant pillar and platform leads (5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement)
- Engage all associates on important CPS concepts through hands-on mentoring and audits
- Lead the Reliability Improvement Plans (RIP); establish action plans; and follow-up meetings
- Work with teams (i.e. Project Engineers, Contractors, Technicians, Peers, and Other CPS Pillars leads) to guide actions to support CPS
- Lead and engage team members to improve processes through our plant
- Coach teams in giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications and external interactions
- Work with the Operations teams to create an Autonomous Maintenance work culture and run to centerline
- Facilitate and react to non-routine and crisis situations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Engineering or other related fields
- Combination of experience and education in lieu of educational requirement
- 3 years manufacturing experience
- Three years experience in Continuous Improvement environment TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and related process improvement systems
