About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join their team and support multiple retail locations across the Pacific North region. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be based in San Jose, Sacramento, San Francisco or Oregon. In this consulting position, the HRBP will play a key role in overseeing HR operations, providing strategic HR support, and partnering with local retail leaders to drive employee engagement, performance, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic HR partner for retail locations within the Pacific North, providing guidance and support on HR matters such as employee relations, performance management, staffing, and compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with business goals and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee and manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and coaching.
- Lead recruitment efforts for retail positions, partnering with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and effective recruitment process.
- Conduct training and development initiatives to foster a positive and high-performance culture.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws and ensure compliance across all retail locations in the region.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolution.
- Regularly drive to local retail locations as needed to support the business and ensure alignment of HR policies and practices on the ground.
- Analyze HR data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally in a retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using HR metrics to drive business decisions.
- Ability to travel locally within the Pacific North region as needed (no air travel required).
- Must be based in one of the following locations: San Jose, Sacramento, San Francisco or Oregon,.
