The Payroll Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time, which is fundamental for maintaining employee satisfaction and trust. This role will be hybrid; expect 2-3 days per week in the Norwalk, CT area.


Responsibilities

  • Managing Payroll Operations: Oversee the entire payroll process for the organization, including the calculation of wages, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and stay updated on changes in tax laws and employment standards.
  • Maintaining Payroll Systems: Utilize payroll software (ADP) to process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records, including tax information and employee data.
  • Handling Discrepancies: Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly to ensure employee satisfaction and trust.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present detailed payroll reports and analyses for management, assisting in financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to streamline payroll processes and improve overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Payroll Management (e.g., CPP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge: A basic understanding of payroll laws and regulations, tax compliance, and best practices in payroll management is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and resolve issues effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
