What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Office Manager position at Confidential?
Small downtown law firm looking for an experienced bookkeeper/office support with up-to-date knowledge of QuickBooks , Excel and Word. Approximately 20 hours per week. Flexible hours/office and remote.
Duties include:
- Process account receivables, receiving payments, deposits, posting payments to proper accounts.
- Coordinate, process, and pay all expenses, vendors, etc.
- Track expenses for individual client cases.
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations.
- Keep employees’ time and report all time to outside payroll company for processing bi-weekly payroll.
- Work with outside accounting firm for tax compliance.
- Order supplies and monitor office supply needs.
- Assist in posting continuing education for attorneys.
- Assist processing settlement funds and distribute to clients, medical providers, etc.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in account reconciliation processes
- Experience with Quickbooks Online
- Strong budgeting skills
- Knowledge of debits and credits principles
- Competence in general ledger accounting
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations
