Position Overview:
The Branch Manager will oversee daily operations at our Cincinnati branch, serving as a key driver of sales growth and relationship management with customers, team members, and vendors. This role requires a strategic, growth-oriented mindset and a "whatever it takes" attitude to expand market presence while maintaining our reputation for speed and exceptional service. As Division Manager, you will lead by example, fostering a high-performance team that thrives in sales, customer service, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Division Leadership:
Lead the division as its top executive, creating a cohesive and high-performing culture. Your leadership will drive both overall success and sales growth, setting clear goals and motivating the team to excel. Implement strategic initiatives to identify new market opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers. Engage directly with key customers, ensuring tailored solutions and rapid responses to their needs while upholding the division's standards of excellence.
- Operational Management:
Oversee and manage operational functions of the division, which include the assembly fabrication department, repair center, warehouse, and office facilities. Ensure the smooth integration of processes such as order processing, inventory management, customer service, and product delivery. Drive efficiency by optimizing workflows, controlling costs, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Proactively identify and resolve operational issues while upholding high standards of quality, safety, and overall performance.
- Team Development & Culture:
Recruit, onboard, and support talent aligned with core company values, setting clear goals and providing regular feedback. Lead training to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service. Foster a positive and accountable workplace by organizing team-building events, celebrating achievements, and encouraging engagement.
· Customer & Vendor Relations:
Act as a key liaison between the company and our customers, focusing on customer retention and satisfaction. Understand customer needs, anticipate future requirements, and manage vendor relationships to ensure a steady supply chain and resolve issues promptly.
- Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with the company’s growth goals. Analyze market trends, competitors, and opportunities for new products and services.
- Financial Oversight:
Manage the division’s expenditures and overall profitability, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Develop comprehensive performance reports that include detailed sales data, revenue analysis, and forecasts, and present these insights to senior management.
- Safety & Compliance:
Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits. Collaborate with the Safety Director to train staff on safety practices and respond promptly to incidents. Oversee compliance with industry regulations, including routine inspections of shop equipment.
Qualifications:
- Prefered Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent management or sales experience in a relevant industry.
- Preferred leadership and sales experience, managing operations and teams, ideally within the industrial supply sector.
- Prefered track record in developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive growth and foster strong customer and vendor relationships.
- Ability to analyze financial performance, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions to drive profitability.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong team-building and motivational skills, with experience in hiring, training, and developing employees.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with customers, vendors, and team members both verbal and written.
- Must have a strong work ethic, grit, and a competitive mindset to drive results, uphold high standards, and consistently meet targets.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. Capable of balancing multiple priorities, making swift decisions, and managing time and resources effectively.
