Controller
Seeking an accomplished and experienced leadership individual to join our team. The Controller would oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial system implementation, team development and oversight of business office, finance and administration. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in financial concepts and technical accounting. This individual will be asked to help drive the performance of the operations by applying technical and business insights and guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial roles.
- Financial Leadership: 5 years required.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,etc.) or equivalent software, the internet, email messaging, and a variety of accounting and operational software.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to work effectively with diverse population.
Responsibilities:
- Direct all business office operations and manage teams including Billing, A/R, A/P, Accounting, etc.
- Collect, manage and analyze financial data. Monitor the company's financial health.
- Streamline customer billing, collections, accounts payable, financial close and reporting functions.
- Budget and forecast preparation.
- Timely monthly closed and reporting package.
- Produce thorough and timely financial status reports to senior managers to help improve operational efficiency and aid in continued growth.
- Track and manage cash flow and expenditures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures and workflows.
- Maximize the utilization of accounting and operational software.
- Help in the development and support short-and-long term operational strategies.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Filing and meeting all tax reporting requirements.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing
- policies & procedures.
- Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting internal audits; providing information to external auditors.
- Annual audit planning and preparation.
