Job Overview
Responsible for overseeing the overall financial health of the company to include managing accounting operations across multiple business units to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance maintenance and financial performance analysis across the various projects and divisions are met.
Duties
Financial Reporting & Analysis
· Responsible for preparing comprehensive financial statements and reports such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements for each business unit to ensure accurate information and adherence to GAAP standards.
· Accountable for presenting and informing identified trends, variances, and potential risks to leadership on each project, division.
Budget and Forecasting
· Collaborate with project team to develop a detailed budget and ongoing communication on spending activities throughout the lifecycle of the project to monitor spending against budget.
· Responsible for preparing the financial forecast for each business unit, which is an accurate portrayal of current market conditions, pipeline of work and risk factors.
· Accountable for regularly monitoring budgets based upon performance results and market dynamic changes, adjusting, as necessary.
Accounting Operations Management
· Responsible for completing the daily accounting functions to include but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll and general ledger across all business units.
· Accountable for ensuring that processing of invoices, payments, and payroll transactions are done accurately and timely.
Compliance & Auditing
· Accountable for the financial regulations and accounting standard compliance requirements.
· Responsible for liaison with external auditors by facilitating any audit and addressing findings in a timely and successful manner,
Strategic Financial Planning
· Consult with leadership on strategic planning in an effort to expand on opportunities while analyzing capital expenditures.
· Provide internal support across all business unites that will enhance processes, procedures and training opportunities resulting in expansion of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
General
· Responsible for performing other duties and tasks as assigned and/or directed.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
o Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration or relevant experience in lieu of specific degree and/or a minimum of ten (10) years accounting experience, required.
o Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, preferred
o Managing multiple business units, preferred.
Knowledge
o Proficient usage of all Microsoft applications, accounting software and financial management systems, required.
o Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards, required.
o Proven strategic insight with analyzing complex financial data, required.s a Controller where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations while leading a dedicated team towards achieving excellence in financial management.
