Job Summary:
The Controller will oversee and manage all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective financial management. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will play a crucial role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, while also maintaining strong internal controls and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses.
o Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and federal and state regulatory requirements.
o Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Actively participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts.
o Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
o Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and advise on corrective actions.
3. Internal Controls and Compliance:
o Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and loan covenants.
o Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
4. Financial Operations:
o Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
o Assist the CFO in managing cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital.
o Implement and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
5. Reporting:
o Prepare and deliver financial reports and presentations to senior management.
o Participate in financial due diligence and supporting transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures.
o Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial planning and performance tracking.
6. Team Leadership:
o Supervise and mentor the finance team, including accountants and financial analysts.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
o Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
· Minimum of 10 years of accounting and financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
· Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, preferably within a private equity-backed or telecom environment.
· Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and private equity reporting requirements.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in financial software and systems (ERP experience preferred).
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and private equity stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
