Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and follow the established intake process for patient check-in
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients in understanding their treatment options and financial responsibilities
- Manage phone inquiries providing information and addressing concerns
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of the office calendar
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate treatment plans effectively
- Handle dental billing processes and insurance verification for patient accounts
- Posting of both patient and insurance payments
- Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for patients and staff alike
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout each patients visit and interaction
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working in a similar dental practice role
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Thorough understanding of Open Dental or equivalent practice management system
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for this role
- Experience with dental billing and claims submission procedures
- Proficiency in dental terminology and private practice scheduling
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience using online-based patient record and scheduling tools
- Basic understanding of office computer software (Word, Excel, Google docs, etc.)
- High school diploma

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
