The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, as well as managing the accounting department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Manage and supervise accounting department staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of office staff.
- Develop financial projections and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain cash flow management.
- Oversee, verify, and ensure accuracy of accounting reports.
- Develop departmental budgets.
- Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making.

- Flexibility with working hours to meet business needs.
- Occasional travel required.
- Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoor job sites, for emergency situations or training.
- Occasional visits to company work sites on an as-needed basis.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Provide backup support for all positions overseen.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience and/or education in accounting.
- At least 4 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing, acceptable by insurance standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheets, word processors, and internet usage.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions and procedures.
- Knowledge of tax laws, including payroll taxes.
