We are seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager with an emphasis in Operations and Sales for a limited service hotel in a SE suburb of the Twin Cities. Candidate will be a motivated, self-starter, and be a results oriented person. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Hotel and its staff and has accountability for planning, organizing and directing all hotel services. Must facilitate a high degree of customer service, while ensuring staff work together.
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales.
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and revenue.
- Manage and motivate hotel staff to deliver exceptional service and meet performance goals.
- Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and control expenses.
- Immerse yourself in the community to promote the hotel and attract new guests.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or relevant role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales.
- Knowledge of revenue management principles and practices.
- Proficient in hotel management software systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary: $45,000.00 – $55,000 per year based on previous work experience - plus performance bonus program. Housing available if needed.
