Key Responsibilities:
- Workers' Compensation: Manage and process workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely resolution.
- Employee Handbooks: Assist in the development, updating, and distribution of employee handbooks and policies.
- Employee Relations: Support employee relations initiatives, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Problem Solving: Provide effective solutions to HR-related issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate HR reports and records.
- MS Office: Utilize MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for various HR tasks and documentation.
- OSHA Logs: Maintain and update OSHA logs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and accurate record-keeping.
- Recruiting: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Employee Orientation and Training: Conduct employee orientation sessions and assist in the development and delivery of training programs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar role.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation processes and regulations.
- Experience with employee handbooks and policy development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with OSHA log maintenance and compliance.
- Experience in recruiting and employee training.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
