The HR Business Partner is responsible for executing all designated HR functions, including but not limited to, Labor/ Employee Relations activities, HR processes and policies and management inquiries. The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Assist with employee relations by providing guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and career development initiatives.
- Assist with administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation in compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Conduct investigations related to workplace issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Stay updated with employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation and benefits.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by organizing employee engagement activities and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry desired.
- Union environment experience a plus, not required.
