Manufacturing organization is seeking a HR Generalist. Key areas in which the HR Generalist carries out responsibilities consist of but are not limited to: recruitment, workers' compensation administration, employee relations training, benefits, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill hourly vacant positions.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Processes personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Maintain HRIS systems.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
- Develops and maintains employee records ensuring all documentation meets state and federal regulations.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
- Conduct exit and stay interviews to improve employee retention and engagement.
- Administers and monitors performance review program to assist management with effectiveness, compliance, and equity of program.
- Daily timekeeping processing
- Prepares employee communications
- Actively participates in the development of safety leadership activities, programs and processes.
- Implementing programs to help improve the overall employee experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Human Resources and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated creativity and success in recruitment processes and programs.
- Must have administrative knowledge of employment law, policy administration and benefit administration.
- Must have working knowledge of Tennessee employment and workers' compensation law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and flexible
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Must promote collaboration and transparency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
