We are seeking a skilled and organized Legal Secretary to join our team. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal office. The ideal candidate will have experience in document management systems and possess strong organizational skills.
Duties:
- Prepare and transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and memos
- Assist with legal research and case preparation
- Manage and organize files, documents, and records
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court dates
- Maintain calendars and schedule appointments for attorneys
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and practices
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook
- Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus
