Your New Job
The Position- The Information Technology / Security Department serves as the process owner for all activities related to the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with the various legal and contractual requirements and obligations of information security policies and procedures. The Junior Security Engineer will report to the security manager and carry out the responsibilities of the position in accordance with Information Security Policies and Procedures. They will work with closely with the Information Technology / Security team to ensure cooperative efforts are being made with all partners as appropriate..
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Implements and monitors the information security policies and procedures instituted by the organization’s Information Security department
o Enforces the organization’s information security policies and procedures
o Monitors internal control systems to ensure that appropriate information access levels are maintained.
Participates in the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans for information systems
Monitors advancements in information security technologies
Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster information security awareness within the organization
Reviews system-related information security plans throughout the organization’s network and acts as a liaison to the Information Systems Department
Day-to-day management of security systems, including but not limited to Firewalls, IDS, DLP, end-point systems, and remote access
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified candidate must have a minimum 1 year experience in the Information Security field
- Bachelor’s degree in information management or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience and skills with Fortinet firewalls networking.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in Windows systems and environment
