Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Neenah, WI. 100% onsite
Pay: $65,000-77,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage and execute payroll processes for both union and non-union employees. This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll, while complying with all relevant regulations and requirements. The successful candidate will also serve as the Subject Matter Expert for our HRIS system and play a crucial role in supporting audits, compliance reviews, and ongoing payroll-related improvements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer weekly union payroll, semi-monthly non-union payroll, and off-cycle payrolls.
Manage payroll-related GL responsibilities and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
Ensure the accurate completion of year-end payroll requirements, including W-2’s.
Provide data for annual 401K calculations.
Act as the HRIS Subject Matter Expert and liaise between the company and HRIS vendor.
Implement new pay rules into HRIS and maintain employee data throughout the employment lifecycle.
Reconcile and approve union health care and dues invoices.
Perform impact analysis for union contract negotiations and labor reporting.
Manage worker’s compensation wage projections for annual insurance renewals and audits.
Support external audits and compliance reviews.
Ensure compliance with privacy laws and safeguard sensitive information.
Process tax-related tasks, including SUTA calculations and quarterly 941 tax forms.
Ensure payments for benefits and compensation are accurate and processed correctly.
Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
Experience with HRIS tools (Ceridian Dayforce experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of HR and payroll regulations and laws.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience with union payroll is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork.
