Galloway is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. This position owns the entire payroll process, guaranteeing the precise and prompt execution of both union and non-union payrolls, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, reporting requirements and delivering exceptional customer service to all our employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the weekly union payroll, semi-monthly non-union payroll, any off-cycle payrolls, and all payroll related GL responsibilities
Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll questions
Responsible for the accuracy of all year-end payroll requirements such as W-2’s
Provide the information for our annual 401K calculations
Serve as the Dayforce Subject Matter Expert and act as liaison between Company and Dayforce
Responsible for the incorporation of any new pay rules into Dayforce
Reconcile and approve payment of union health care and union dues invoices
Perform the impact analysis for union contract negotiations and operation’s labor reporting and analysis
Responsible for worker’s compensation wage projections for annual insurance renewal and annual audit
Provide support for external audits and compliance reviews
Validate payments for benefits and compensation
Responsible for the maintenance of employee data within Dayforce for the life cycle of employment
Responsible for the annual SUTA calculation and tax adjustment in Dayforce as well as reconciling quarterly 941 tax form
Maintain the highest level of professional confidentiality by safeguarding sensitive information, ensuring compliance with all relevant privacy laws and organizational policies
Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Education, Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
Five (5) or more years of experience in payroll processing and administration
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS tools is a plus
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong knowledge of HR and payroll regulations and applicable laws
Experience in creating and performing data analytics
Experience processing union payroll is preferred
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Proven ability to investigate issues, determine root cause and develop processes and controls for continuous improvement
Exhibits a high degree of professional confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion
Excellent interpersonal skills; fosters an environment of teamwork
