Manager of Sales
Job Summary:
A Manager of Sales oversees the daily operations of an inside sales team. This role involves developing each member by understanding individual development needs and providing proactive coaching and support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Professional Development of Team Members: Assess cold calling capabilities, collaborate with sales coaches, and provide constructive feedback to aid in growth.
- Goal Progress, Forecasting, and Reporting: Track progress towards monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, and conduct periodic business reviews for each account manager.
- Daily Operations: Ensure timely completion of timecards, address attendance issues, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Team Support: Serve as the first line of support for logistics, customer issues, pricing inquiries, and issue escalation.
Requirements:
- Microsoft Office Suite skills, including document creation and spreadsheet management.
- Experience in a related technology field, dealing with hardware, software, or IT services.
- Previous outbound sales experience in account management or account executive environments.
- Adept at finding business opportunities within existing customer bases.
- Negotiation skills to secure purchasing agreements.
- CRM tool experience and ability to understand order management system integration.
- Organized state of mind with documentation, problem anticipation, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated professional experience managing or coaching inside sales teams.
- Experience with the Challenger Sales Method and/or Coaching for Performance techniques.
- Previous experience working in the IT Channel.
