Controller
We are seeking a Controller for a client, to lead their accounting operations and provide insightful financial guidance. This pivotal role will oversee a team responsible for the financial activities across numerous locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the preparation and dissemination of comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses, for internal stakeholders.
- Drive the annual budgeting process for our business locations and contribute to the development of long-range financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance against established benchmarks, providing clear and actionable insights to senior management.
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, offering strategic recommendations to enhance profitability.
- Champion the establishment and maintenance of robust accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the implementation and enforcement of internal controls to protect company assets and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate seamless annual audits and ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP).
- Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for translating complex data into strategic insights.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior financial role, with a proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving business objectives.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Intermediate to advanced with MS Excel
- Proficiency in accounting software.
