Job Summary
The In Room Dining Server is responsible for creating the overall dining experience for our guests. The role will be accountable for interacting with guests, taking food & beverage orders as well as ensuring an exceptional guest experience..
Job Duties
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating.
- Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant.
- Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management.
- Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
- Maintain table cleanliness utilizing silent table approach.
- Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
- Ensure table side food service and quality presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations.
- Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
- Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
- Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return.
- Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.
- Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests.
- Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Work as a team, assisting all guests' needs and inquiries.
- Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known and encourage them to return.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- 2 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred.
- Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and
- department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.
Physical Requirements
- Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity
- Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned
