Job Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial analysis for two recently acquired business units, Pro-Dig and Agile. The Pro-Dig business unit is in Elwood, Kansas near Kansas City, MO. Pro-Dig manufacturers high quality drilling and piling equipment. The Agile business unit has two facilities just outside of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and manufactures agricultural, industrial, and construction material handling equipment. The controller will work closely with business leaders to increase profitability by providing financial insight and control over the operations. The controller will work to migrate both business units from QuickBooks to a more advanced manufacturing ERP system. This position will supervise individuals responsible for AP and AR transactions for the businesses.
This position will be based in Elwood, KS at Pro-Dig with travel expected to Agile Manufacturing in SD/IA on a regular basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Oversee AP / AR team and transactions
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts daily
- Cash management – AP & AR
- Develop and monitor effective cycle count processes to ensure accurate inventory accounting.
- Lead monthly closing for accurate and timely financials
- Improve the process for inventory valuation with specific attention the labor & overhead being appropriately capitalized into inventory.
- Prepare weekly flash report and cash forecast
- Prepare monthly reporting package to include accurate financials and analysis of business profitability, margin analysis, and product line profitability.
- Lead the improvement and/or implementation of ERP systems to achieve optimal financial control and business insights.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related experience.
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing business.
- Understanding of ERP systems and cost accounting.
- Experience with inventory accounting with specific understanding of labor and overhead absorption.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with QuickBooks or JobBoss2 plus.
- ERP Implementation experience a plus.
- Advanced MS excel skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
