This job is an individual contributor that provides consultation and support to designated business departments, to help our leaders think strategically about people & culture, assess needs & develop solutions in human resources related areas (e.g. workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, employee relations, compensation, retention, career development, leadership development, etc.). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring human resources policies and procedures support organizational goals, translating business priorities into actionable plans that support the business, unique culture and company values, and advocating for necessary changes to policies and processes in support of overall organizational goals and objectives.In this job, you will:

- Cultivate the organization’s culture, values and mission across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain positive relationships with managers and employees to promote our culture of open communication; uphold open communication with team members in all departments and at all levels.
- Continually develop a deep understanding of the various departments, their situations, and, most importantly, their needs to better develop mutually defined solutions to problems.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when needed.
- Support, communicate, and uphold HR policies, procedures and processes in compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring HR policies and practices align with business objectives.
- Facilitate the delivery of HR programs and services to support the business objectives in partnership with HR team leaders and staff; support implementation of business initiatives requiring HR knowledge and skills.
- Serves as the strategic partner to leadership in regards to driving talent development, engagement, and core HR initiatives for the field organization.
- Partner with broader HR team colleagues across Benefits/Payroll/Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Compliance/Legal, Learning Solutions, Talent Management and HCM/HR Systems to ensure employee and leadership needs are met and high performing teams are sustained.
- Leads, collaborates or contributes to projects with other HR team members or cross functionally in support of the enterprise’s strategic goals.
- Help build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues, ensuring a balance in representing all parties' interests by actively partnering and supporting leadership team members, managers, and individuals.
- Support talent management processes in the field to include performance review, succession planning, leadership assessments and internal talent movement.
- Participate in the development, facilitation and/or presentation of training for regional leadership in small group settings, seminar formats or at regional/conference meetings.
- Understand how the company runs and makes money, to analyze effectively and make timely recommendations to alleviate risk or positively impact the business or associates.
- Work with and coach leaders and managers on effective people management; educate them on a variety of topics (such as interviewing, effective pay decisions, on-boarding new employees, coaching and developing employee performance, etc.). Serve as HR leader in working with the leadership team on means to reinforce and sustain Leadership Foundations.
- Manage employee relations; including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. Train and develop managers in maintaining important documentation for recordkeeping and compliance purposes in an organized manner.
- Provide analytics to management (i.e. headcount, turnover, labor costs, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Here’s what you’ll need to be considered:
Education
Required – Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
Preferred – Master's degree in related field.
Experience
Required – 5 years' experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
License/Certification
Preferred – PHR or SHRM certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA) and the ability to appropriately spot employment risk issues.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Workday a plus.
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization; including the ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within and across departments throughout the organization.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize several projects with changing priorities.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, and research skills; including excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to travel within assigned markets and to the corporate office as needed; may include air travel, overnight stays and the ability to rent a car.

Physical Demands & Requirements
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Must be able to sit/stand continuously.
Must be able to climb stairs, walk on rough uneven surfaces, etc.
Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment.
Travel; normal travel is between 24%-50%, but may increase as needed.
The expected base pay range for this role is:
$89,738.00 - $120,100.00Actual pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including work location, job-related knowledge, skills and relevant experience for the job. Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular period of time.
