What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Constellis?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible with the oversight of all logistic functions in support for various programs to include, export compliance, and requisitioning materials in support of program requirement; including but not limited to reviewing requirements, recommending logistic solutions, and includes the order, receipt, storage, and shipping of material.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides logistical support of assigned projects including but not limited to, shipping coordination, packaging requirements, shipping documentation and freight damage claims
- Must use the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a guideline in the performance of their duties
- Develop accurate and flexible logistic support plans to support program requirements
- Single point of entry for submission and tracking of all logistic requirements
- Liaison with program management, procurement, warehouse, and compliance in support of programs
- Ensure all appropriate import and export licenses are up to date and relevant to support projected training requirements
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments for all programs and projects assigned
- Provide cradle to grave accountability for all shipments
- Track and account for all gear movements for international and domestic operational sites
- Generate logistics reports for each program to support downrange visibility of materials
- Assist in the submission of costs estimates and proposals in support of Task Orders
- Assist with compliance by identifying appropriate export license for material to include brokering of material from third parties
- Maintain knowledge of current commercial transportation policy to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Advise employees on care and preservation of equipment received, stored and shipped.
- Assist with physical inventory at regularly scheduled intervals
- Assist with all inventory audits to insure 100% inventory accuracy and compliance
- Identify potential issues that may impact performance and resolves or escalates as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree required; BA preferred
- A minimum of five years of experience in logistics management required
- Must be familiar with a variety of field concepts, processes, and procedures in support of international operations
- Must possess excellent math skills, and proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
- Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Secret Clearance
- IATA & Hazmat Certified
- Must maintain Certified Export Specialist Certification or equivalent
- Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, or move objects up to 50 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.
