Job Summary
CES, Inc is seeking Optometrists who are licensed to practice in Hawaii to evaluate patients who are applying for benefits due to visual impairments. The provider will ONLY be doing evaluations and not treating patients. There is no follow up, no prescribing, no on-call. We work around your schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provider will evaluate patients who are referred by our clients. The examinees will be evaluated in your office and a full optometry exam will be performed. The Provider will provide a narrative report and provide an opinion as to any visual impairments and how they impact the examinee's ADLs and any work ability.
These are NOT workers compensation evaluations. The Provider does NOT decide whether a patient has a disability or not. The Provider does not decide or recommend whether or not the examinee qualifies or should get benefits. This is an administrative decision that our clients will make with the help of your report. The Provider only gives an opinion of the examinee's impairment-related restrictions due to visual deficits.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required - Optometry license
- Required - Must have your own clinic/facility to see claimants in or near Hilo, HI
- Required - Must have either the Humphrey Field Analyzer central 30-2 threshold test (HFA 30-2) or the Central 24-2 threshold test (HFA 24-2)

Pay: $360.00 - $720.00 per day
