Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic respite care provider for an active young boy who enjoys being outdoors and engaging in physical activities. The ideal candidate will be patient, firm with boundaries, and able to provide structure while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. The position requires a caregiver who can actively engage with the child, supervise his activities, and provide care in a way that promotes safety and well-being.
Pay: $17.66/Hour (After Tax Rate)
Location: Chippewa Falls, WI - TBD between family & provider
Schedule: Flexible shifts - 10 hours/week available - TBD between family & provider.
- Weekdays: Evenings (after 3:45pm)
- Weekends: Mornings

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the child closely, as he may exhibit stealing tendencies and requires supervision during all activities.
- Be attentive and responsive to verbal threats, managing them calmly and setting clear boundaries.
- Engage in creative, developmentally appropriate activities, taking into account the child’s size and coordination challenges.
- Provide structure and clear boundaries in a gentle, firm manner, ensuring the child’s safety and adherence to rules.
Qualifications:
- Ability to think creatively for activity planning and provide safe, engaging experiences.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with behavioral challenges, is preferred but not required.
- Ability to set and enforce boundaries with kindness and patience.
- Must be active, with a passion for outdoor activities and physical play.
- Ability to build trust with the child, fostering a positive, supportive relationship.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willing to undergo a caregiver background check upon hire
*Must be able to successfully pass a background check before being hired. If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, your legal employer on record would be the Member. CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
