We are urgently seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient caregiver to support two incredible children in the comfort of their own home. The role involves caring for a baby and a youth with special needs. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, resourceful, and experienced in working with children with developmental and behavioral needs. You will be responsible for safety supervision, engaging them in appropriate activities, and helping them with daily routines, all while maintaining a positive, loving environment.

Schedule-
Flexible Schedule to be Created with Managing Party! (Parent)
Up to 15 Hours a Week
Mon-Tues-Thurs-Fri
6PM-8PM
Duties-
- Provide direct one-on-one care and support to youth with Autism (Non-Verbal), and baby following individualized care plans and instructions from the managing party (Parent).
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Manage behavioral challenges with children while maintaining a professional and kind demeanor.
- Be mindful of sensory needs and provide a calm, supportive environment.
- Safely navigate elopement concerns by keeping the children within the boundaries of the home.
- Handle emergency situations calmly, should they arise.
- Maintain communication with the managing party (parent) about important developments or issues.
- Communicate effectively when schedule changes arise.
- Engage client in meaningful activities, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being while engaging in the use of a word board for communication with the youth.
Skills-
- Experience working with individuals with autism or similar developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient monitoring and support.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with youth and family.
- Experience with preparing meals for sometimes picky children
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Requirements-
- Must be comfortable with completing personal cares
- CPR certified or willing to certify within 30 days of hire.
- Experience working with special needs.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable vehicle, driver's license, and auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
