The Youth Respite Provider plays a crucial role in supporting children and young adults with diverse needs, particularly those on the Autism spectrum. We are urgently seeking a compassionate and reliable respite worker in the Black River Falls area to provide relief to the family of a youth male with autism. The Respite Worker will be responsible for providing care and support to the client in their home, ensuring their safety and well-being while giving the family and other caregivers a much-needed break.

Wage-
$17.66/Per Hour
Schedule-
Every Other Saturday 12:00PM-5:00PM
Responsibilities-
- Provide direct one-on-one care and support to youth with Autism (Non-Verbal), following individualized care plans and instructions from the managing party (Parent).
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Engage client in meaningful activities, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being while engaging in the use of a word board for communication with the youth.
- Monitor client for signs of distress or changes in condition, and report any concerns to managing party (Parent).
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client care and progress, and communicate regularly with managing party (Parent).
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients, including proper use and maintenance of supplies.
Skills-
- Experience working with individuals with autism or similar developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient monitoring and support.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with youth and family.
- Familiarity with direct support services is a plus, enhancing the quality of care provided.

Requirements-
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR Certified preferred
- Experience with Seizure disorders preferred
