What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Sales Marketing position at Continental?
Position Overview: This marketing position supports revenue growth for Continental by supporting the Sales Team through building a strong customer value proposition and providing the them with the support and information they need to be successful. Reporting to VP Marketing, the Director Marketing, Business Development, will strategically support the Business Development team with Sales and Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting the goal of meeting (exceeding) sales goals for the Business Development & Events Team through:
- Develop and oversee digital marketing strategies, with a focus on optimizing online lead generation and brand visibility through SEO, SEM, Social Media and Email Marketing campaigns.
- Maintaining a thorough view of the competitive and opportunity landscape
- Provide thought leadership and marketing support based on competitive and opportunity landscape
- Organizing and managing all BDT proposals
- Ensuring all proposals have clearly articulated the Continental Brand service offerings and have met the needs of both the client and Continental
- Salesforce and CRM Proficiency
- Leverage Salesforce for sales enablement, including managing campaign tracking, data insights, and reporting dashboards
- Automate and personalize marketing campaigns through Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar tools
- Provide marketing support to the Business Development Team, Events and Strategic Account Leaders through:
- Creation of best in class proposals, marketing sales materials and digital assests
- Providing thought leadership and research on Clients and market trends in partnership with the marketing team
- End-to-end campaign management, from ideation and audience segmentation and performance analysis
- Develop Account Based Marketing campaigns to target key accounts effectively
- Provide strategic guidance to align sales and marketing goals, ensuring cohesive messaging and efficient resource allocations
- Develop a comprehensive customer journey mapping strategy to enhance engagement and conversion
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs to promote products and services
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
- Managing an open flow of communication between the Business Development Team and Marketing
- Maintain an active, working understanding of the Continental brand mission, technology road map, operational standards and service offerings
WHO YOU ARE
- Self-starter who can work independently on several projects simultaneously, and can contribute to functional areas of the business
- Exceptional problem solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret marketing programs, contracts, financial reports, technical and operational data
- Ability to translate technical knowledge and the requirements into clear and concise communications for a diverse range of stakeholders both internal and external.
- Adept at identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to accept work assignments that could require additional training
- Adaptable to changes in priorities, assignments, environment, process and methods while maintaining a positive attitude and enthusiasm with all team members
- Personal values align with the company’s values and culture.
- Handle confidential information from customers and vendors with due care and proper ethical consideration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- 3 years experience managing digital marketing preferably in a B2B organization
- 3 years experience working within Salesforce or similar CRM system
