Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Director to oversee all aspects of marketing for our Yacht sales and service dealership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing marketing strategies for our organization which includes sale of new and used inventory, selling client boats/yachts (brokerage), servicing boats/yachts, and financing deals along with corporate branding across multiple platforms, including boat shows, magazines, social media, brochures, website, data analytics, CRM, video, email marketing, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and more. This is a fast-paced role requiring a critical thinker who is adaptable and can thrive under pressure while driving business growth and brand visibility, throughout a dense calendar year with many moving parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the dealership's overall marketing strategy messaging and brand standards across multiple mediums.
- Manage and execute marketing campaigns with marketing team to execute successful promotions utilizing digital media, web presences, boat shows, and email campaigns, paid advertising digital and print across various promotional efforts.
- Plan and create marketing assets, designs, materials, and produce collateral to work in conjunction with JBYS’s promotional needs.
Brand Management & Positioning:
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels, internal external, marketing assets and designs.
- Seek and explore advertising opportunities in print, events, social, industry partnerships that align with JBYS’s brand and overall marketing growth.
Digital Marketing:
- Oversee and manage the dealership’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date, optimized, and aligned with marketing strategies.
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media, and boat multiple listing (MLS) sites
- Analyze data from various sources to assess marketing effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
- Manage and optimize the dealership’s CRM data to drive customer engagement and retention.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Use data analytics to track and report on key marketing metrics, including ROI, customer engagement, and lead conversions.
- Regularly review and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.
Customer Satisfaction & Engagement:
- Lead Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) initiatives to improve customer experience and loyalty.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into follow-up and marketing strategies.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with sales, service, and other departments to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
- Lead and manage a marketing team, providing mentorship and standard of excellence guidance while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Manage external vendor relationships (graphic designers, PR agencies, digital marketing agencies, manufacturers, etc.).
- Stay on top of and incorporate emerging technologies in marketing such as AI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the automotive, marine, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Proven success leading a small marketing team (position includes management of an associate marketing director and marketing assistant).
- Proven success in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns (online and offline).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in data-driven marketing decisions and reporting.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and email marketing tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
