Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to be “owner/operator” of the space and lead the day-to-day operations of our 25,000 sq luxury health and wellness club and ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional service to our esteemed members. This role encompasses overseeing the end-to-end member experience, managing scheduling, and supervising the club staff. Additionally, the General Manager will be responsible for the club's budget and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member Experience Excellence: Ensure the highest level of service delivery, anticipating member needs, and exceeding expectations at every touchpoint. Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute member engagement initiatives, events, and special promotions to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
- Staff Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate all club level teams to provide exceptional service, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment. This includes but is not limited to managing participation in all hiring onboarding and training as necessary, staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources during peak and off-peak hours. Management of the time and attendance for direct reports to guarantee accurate payroll hours.
- Facility Maintenance and Vendor Relationships: The General Manager oversees facility maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and staff. They manage all service, landlord and vendor relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective services to maintain the facility's operational efficiency. Additionally, they develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to uphold the club's standards of excellence.
- Budgeting and Cost Controls: Oversee the ordering, receiving, and stocking of food and beverage, retail products, uniforms, and club supplies, maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet demand. Implement and enforce quality control standards for all products and services offered, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to optimize value while upholding quality standards. Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as club policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the luxury, spa, hospitality and/or wellness industry, with a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with members, staff, and vendors.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
