Position Description: Regional Sales Manager

What will you be doing?
The Regional Sales Manager will develop and execute a strategy that delivers profitable revenue growth with new and existing customers in their defined region. The RSM will also focus on the retention and expansion of sales with existing key accounts. He/She will leverage our diverse product offering and unique distribution position in the truck equipment market to win in their region.
What is expected of me?
- Grow market share in your region.
- Retain current customers and grow share of wallet with key accounts.
- Develop pipeline of new key account and successfully convert them to CM products.
- Coordinate seamless transition of new account setup and service activities to Dealer Sales Representatives
Job Responsibilities
- Secure major new business and manage existing strategic accounts.
- Define and achieve sales goals, budgets, and margin targets.
- Work directly with key accounts to ensure proper service levels are maintained, special projects are executed, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge of our products, their use, and communicating to the customers’ how they meet their needs.
- Increasing profitable sales and market share with current customers by servicing accounts, providing technical assistance, attending trade shows, monitoring customer activity and inventory movement, evaluating our position relative to the overall business, and establishing a professional rapport with all customers.
- Understanding of market and industry trends, sales techniques, application of products in various markets.
- Recommending changes in products and service by evaluating results and competitive developments; assisting with determining the cost effectiveness of implementing new products and product price points.
- Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations/product demonstrations that demonstrates CM’s value proposition.
- Demonstrated ability to work with inside sales teams and navigate in a matrixed environment. Knows how their role and/or function fit into the strategic plan and overall direction of CM Truck Beds.
- Leverage CRM & Business Intelligence management tools to assess the effectiveness of sales activities.
- Develop and maintain accurate Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Sales forecasts.
- Plans and executes well defined travel schedule that is aligned with sales targets and goals.
What Qualifications and Experience is required to be successful in this role?
- Proven success in growing and servicing key customers in a geographic region or territory.
- Solid sales experience in B2B environment.
- Firsthand experience with CRM software and Account management systems
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and people skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- BA-BS degree in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field.
This role will require 60% travel. Applicant should reside in the Western Region of the US
