Receptionist/Customer Service Representative (Temp To Perm)
Metro Valve & Actuation, a second-generation company founded in 2001, specializing in high-quality valve and actuation products and services, seeks a Receptionist/Customer Service Representative. We are looking for a team player, problem solver, and self-starter who likes to interact with customers, vendors, and visitors. This will be a pivotal role as it will ensure that they receive exceptional service and support. It is also an important part of updating customers on their orders.This role will be on-site at Metro Valve’s Piscataway, NJ office.
Responsibilities
-Be the first point of contact in the company, representing the company well by providing great and friendly service to customers, vendors, and visitors, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
-Answer phone calls and emails, ensuring responses to inquiries are made promptly and professionally.
-Provide updates on orders.
-Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a positive first impression for visitors.
-Operate standard office equipment, such as computers, on a regular basis.
Skills, Education & Abilities
-High school diploma or equivalent
-2 years of customer service experience
-Professional and courteous demeanor to create a welcoming environment
-Detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task
-A motivated self-starter, problem solver, and team player
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
-A great communicator who will represent the company to vendors and customers and communicate well with internal staff
-Reliable, flexible, organized, and good time management skills
-Ability to think and act independently
-Proficient with using basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to haves: industry experience, proficiency with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, and familiarity with CRM systems
