A rapidly growing company in the architectural products industry is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist. This individual will be responsible for managing the daily AP/AR functions, ensuring accurate processing of vendor invoices, timely payments, and tracking of expenses.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and eager to contribute to the financial accuracy and growth of the organization. Strong technological proficiency, particularly in SAP and QuickBooks, is essential for this role. Confidentiality is crucial, as this position will handle sensitive financial data.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

• Review and validate incoming vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.

• Ensure payments are made on time, adhering to payment terms and addressing discrepancies to maintain positive relationships with vendors.

• Collaborate with the Procurement Coordinator to match purchase orders with invoices.

• Manage weekly check runs and process wire transfers for payments.

• Keep accounts payable records organized for easy retrieval.

• Assist with month-end closing tasks by generating accounts payable reports and reconciling AP accounts.

• Contribute to tax and audit preparation by providing necessary accounts payable documentation.

Accounts Receivable:

• Monitor and process incoming customer payments, ensuring proper application to accounts.

• Help prepare and send invoices to customers.

• Maintain accurate payment records and reconcile any differences between payments and invoices.

Additional Duties:

• Support the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable.

• Manage yearly company renewals.

• Provide backup assistance for other accounting functions as needed.

• Aid in financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls related to AP and AR.
