Conveyor Belt Service, located in Virginia, Minnesota, is the largest and most accomplished supplier of industrial conveyor belt installation and maintenance services in the upper Midwest. We are seeking a skilled, experienced Conveyor Belt Technician to join our team. We can also train the right person who lacks direct experience but brings transferrable skills and excellent personality traits. Conveyor Belt Service is located in the middle of the best of everything that northern Minnesota has to offer. We are a hardy, community-based, family-centric people who enjoy life to the fullest. Responsibilities for our Conveyor Belt Technicians include but are not limited to the installation and maintenance of heavy-duty industrial conveyor belting as well as fabricating rubber products in our shop. Work is highly team-oriented, being performed in our production facility during day and afternoon shifts, and at customer sites as required. Customer site work may be performed indoors or outdoors, consisting of various shift and job duration lengths. Our field work takes us into taconite mines, power plants, wood processing mills, onto Great Lakes shipping vessels, and more. A valid driver s license is required for this position, noting that a Class A Commercial Driver's License and willingness to operate a semi is strongly preferred, with additional compensation offered. Travel is required for fieldwork but is not typically excessive in terms of the number of consecutive days away. Over 80% of fieldwork is performed within a 2-hour radius of our shop. Our employees become members of the Millwrights Local Union #1348 after a successful 120-day probationary period, if not already a member.
