Ministry Function:
The Global Budget and Compensation Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by providing operational support and project management for Global Human Resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage global payroll operations by collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and reviewing payroll data from international offices to ensure accurate and timely execution across multiple regions.
- Lead payroll projects in collaboration with Finance and national and regional HR teams, ensuring complete and compliant documentation, timely disbursements, and the implementation of standardized systems across regions.
- Develop and maintain personnel budgets, including payroll and vendor expense forecasting, in collaboration with Finance.
- Serve as the primary contact for international payroll inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues.
- Ensure seamless payroll and benefits integration when launching new countries, working closely with the Global HR Manager.
- Partner with Finance and national offices to identify, implement, and maintain strong relationships with third-party payroll and benefit vendors.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance budget, payroll, and compensation efficiency.
- Design and manage comprehensive compensation structures, including salary scales, in alignment with industry trends and best practices.
- Support regional and national HR teams in implementing compliant, locally tailored compensation and benefits offerings.
- Manage and resolve barriers to payroll, compensation, and benefits implementation.
- Perform additional HR-related tasks as needed to support broader organizational goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders, including individuals for whom English is not their primary language.
- Experience in budget management with confidentiality and strong ethical standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel for comprehensive data management, payroll data analysis, and reporting.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an infrequent basis.
- Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
