The primary purpose of the Maintenance Director is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff, and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on our highest standards. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility.
Maintenance Director Responsibilities :
Some of the specific duties of the position are as follows :
- Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, lifts and stocks supplies.
- Take care of the tools and equipment.
- Must be able to use and operate the following equipment : all garden equipment (shovel, lawn mower, hoe, rake, grass trimmer, hand tools, etc.), carpenter tools and equipment (saws, sander, wrench, etc.), plumbing tools and equipment, painting tools and equipment, electrical tools and equipment, all heating and cooling tools and equipment (boiler, furnace, water heater, air conditioning units, etc.), housekeeping tools and equipment, appliance repair tools and equipment, general maintenance tools, van, truck, ladder, etc.
