Job Overview:

The HR Intern will assist with various HR functions, gaining practical experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about HR operations in a dynamic business environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Assist in posting job openings on internal and external job boards
• Review resumes and screen applicants alongside recruiters
• Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates
• Support new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, welcome packets, and orientation materials
  
  
  

Employee Engagement & HR Communications

• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives (e.g., appreciation events, wellness programs)
• Draft internal HR communications such as newsletters, announcements, and SharePoint updates
• Support internal surveys and analyze employee feedback
  
  
  

HR Administration & Compliance

• Help maintain and update HR records and documentation
• Assist in HR compliance audits, including reviewing I-9 forms and employee files
• Support HRIS data entry and reporting tasks
  
  
  

HR Research & Project Support

• Research HR best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Assist in compiling HR metrics and reports for management review
• Participate in HR team meetings and contribute ideas for HR initiatives
  
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
• Prior internship or work experience in HR, administration, or customer service (preferred but not required)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR data professionally
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
